The Challenge
Cymulate’s rebranding initiative presented a unique opportunity to reimagine their digital presence. With over 500 pages of valuable content including ebooks, whitepapers, and webinars, this was the perfect moment to not only introduce a fresh visual identity but also to strategically reorganize their extensive knowledge base.
At the same time, the fast-changing nature of B2B web design called for a more modern and dynamic experience. To reflect Cymulate’s leadership in the cybersecurity space, the website needed to showcase their brand evolution while creating an intuitive journey for visitors exploring their platform capabilities, industry insights, and thought leadership content.
Time was another critical factor. This compressed four-month timeline required careful prioritization and flawless execution to meet expectations without compromising quality.
Our Approach
To address this ambitious project within a limited timeframe, we established a deeply collaborative partnership with Cymulate’s internal teams. Acting as an extension of their design and development teams, we stepped in to fill resource and expertise gaps. While Cymulate’s designer led the creative direction, our team contributed technical guidance and web optimization insights, ensuring that the designs translated seamlessly in the WordPress environment.
Our flexible development process also accommodated evolving requirements from various departments, allowing product marketing and other teams to refine content and functionality throughout the project lifecycle. This collaborative approach was critical in crafting a comprehensive website. At the foundation of this effort lay rigorous research and analysis, which informed every aspect of the redesign and ensured it addressed both user and business needs effectively.
To align creative ambitions with technical goals, we conducted an industry analysis and site audit at the start of the project. This analysis informed the development of an intuitive site map, reorganizing Cymulate’s extensive content library into clear pathways. Our goal was to create a seamless user experience for diverse audiences, including SOC managers and CISOs, guiding them effortlessly through complex cybersecurity content. However, improving the user journey was only one piece of the puzzle.
Another critical consideration was safeguarding the site’s SEO rankings during the redesign. To maintain its hard-earned organic traffic, we meticulously updated URL structures, implemented precise redirects, and optimized meta tags. Additionally, we enhanced key technical SEO elements, such as canonicalization and crawl efficiency, to ensure search engines could index the site effectively. With the site’s performance fortified, our next step was to integrate backend systems that would ensure efficient lead management and full compliance.
To support these objectives, we integrated the site with HubSpot CRM, enabling efficient lead management and facilitating quick responses to inquiries. Simultaneously, we prioritized aligning the website’s functionality with GDPR requirements and broader privacy policy standards. This seamless, secure experience reinforces Cymulate’s commitment to protecting users, no matter the threat.
